CUSTOMER EXPERIENCES
"Public Art Agency Finland was selected as the creator of our environmental and art program through a competitive process. Their list of references was, at that time, shorter than some of the competitors, but their work program demonstrated a strong level of expertise, dedication, and immersion in the task. Our assessment was accurate. The masrter plan for public art green environment and events for our borough was created in their capable hands. Everything went smoothly from the client's perspective: schedules and budgets were kept, and Maija ensured that the end result was of high quality and carefully crafted. Particularly pleasing was Maija’s and her team's ability to immerse themselves in the desired spirit of the neighbourhood, nestled in the midst of nature, as a vibrant, people-centered urban village. In the end, public art and high-quality landscape architecture combined into a unique enchantment with a fresh approach. Our collaboration with this team continues, and I can warmly recommend them."
— SANNA KARPPINEN, PROJECT MANAGER, CITY OF KANGASALA
"Maija Kovari was hired as the art coordinator for the project at the recommendation of the curator of EMMA - Espoo Museum of Modern Art, based on her positive experiences from a previous project. The idea was that the coordinator would assist the client (the city and EMMA) suffering from a shortage of personnel resources: drafting agreements between the artist and the city, guiding the artist's work, finding the necessary architectural and engineering plans for the artist's use, and ensuring coordination between the artwork and other technical disciplines (architect, engineer). Maija also managed the coordination of schedules, organized construction meetings, chaired and took minutes in those meetings, created excellent reports & maintenance instructions for the artwork, and ensured that the project was successfully completed in all aspects. Thanks to Maija's professional work, the entire process went very smoothly from the client's perspective.“
— SARI KNUUTI, PROJECT MANAGER, LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT, CITY OF ESPOO
"The principles of public art in Espoo were prepared in a cross-administrative manner and approved by the City Council in May 2019. Maija Kovari's expertise during the preparation has been invaluable, and her extensive professional competence is irreplaceable. Maija is also socially skilled. She has a pleasant way of presenting herself - she listens attentively, and also convincingly justifies her views. I am pleased that Maija has contributed her expertise to Espoo in various projects and now also in the preparation of major guidelines. I hope that our collaboration continues, and that we can continue to see Maija Kovari's diverse skills in the future."
— SUSANNA TOMMILA, DIRECTOR OF CULTURE, CITY OF ESPOO
"Working with Maija has been natural and pleasant. During the year-long project, Maija, with her own contribution, advanced the achievement of our goals on time and unified the art program, which had been formed from various perspectives, into a cohesive whole. Her attentiveness to comments and quick responsiveness to the wishes of the city and its residents made the project run smoothly. In various interaction situations, Maija has always been approachable, knowledgeable, and has created a relaxed atmosphere with her warm and humorous character."
— EVELIINA KÖNTTÄ, ARCHITECT, PROJECT MANAGER, CITY OF MIKKELI
"When implementing public art, Maija Kovari's multidisciplinary expertise alleviated many of my concerns. I could completely trust that agreements, meetings, budgets, and communication with various parties were handled with the right professional approach. I am particularly grateful for Maija's excellent communication skills and the expertise of an architect."
— SEELA PETRA, ARTIST
